No plate of dumplings is complete without a gorgeously balanced dipping sauce.  This one uses cupboard staples and is ready in less than five minutes.

  • 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chilli oil
  • 4 teaspoons black vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 scallions (spring onions), finely sliced

  1. Mix your sauce. Add all your ingredients to a small bowl, then mix well to combine.
  2. Serve. Enjoy with your favourite dumplings, or steamed buns.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: The sauce will keep well for at least 1 week, stored in the fridge.

INGREDIENT NOTES: Swap the black vinegar for rice vinegar, white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar if you like. You can use tamari instead of soy sauce.
