Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup cream cheese at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ cup everything bagel seasoning plus more to serve
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil to serve

Instructions

  • Mix the dip.
Add 1 cup of Greek yogurt, ½ cup of cream cheese, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and ¼ cup of everything bagel seasoning to a mixing bowl. Use a large spoon or spatula to mix well to combine into a thick, cohesive dip.
  • Garnish and serve.
Spoon the dip out onto a serving plate, or into a bowl, then drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and scatter over 1 tablespoon of the extra everything bagel seasoning. Serve with baked pita chips, bagel chips or spoon onto Greek yogurt bagels, or cottage cheese bagels.

Notes

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: The dip will keep well in the fridge, stored in a covered container, for up to 5 days. Give it a mix before you serve it so that any liquid that's been released from the dip can be mixed back through.
INGREDIENT NOTES: Cream cheese is easier to mix when it's at room temperature - when it's fridge cold you can end up with little lumps throughout your dip. If you need to warm it up quickly, just pop it into the microwave for 10 - 15 seconds. You can use more cream cheese in the dip if you like - or use more Greek yogurt. Just taste it and adapt it to what you like.
ADD-INS: This is a wonderful base recipe that you can really make your own. Mix through finely sliced scallions (spring onions), or diced red onion, fresh herbs like basil, flat-leaf parsley, thyme or oregano, chopped crispy bacon or even smoked salmon. Think about what you enjoy on a bagel, and go from there.
