10 Homemade Edible Christmas Gift Ideas

Dec 14, 2022 | 0 comments

These 10 ideas for fun, festive and DELICIOUS edible Christmas gifts are some of my favourites to give and receive.

It’s always so lovely to receive something homemade as a gift, and these ideas are all wonderful. They’re perfect as stocking stuffers, to take along to parties, for that person impossible to buy for, or mix and match the ideas and put together a little hamper.

A pile of chocolate almond bark on a baking paper lined board.

Easy Chocolate Almond Bark

This colourful and festive chocolate almond bark is such an easy gift idea for the holiday season.

It’s so quick and you can really make it your own based on what you like and what you have to hand. Just melt chocolate, then add colourful toppings.

A pile of icing sugar dusted Christmas mince pies on a small wooden board with Christmas deocrations in the background.

Christmas Fruit Mince Pies

Crispy, buttery pastry and an incredibly juicy, flavour-packed spiced fruit filling make these mince pies the ultimate Christmas treat. A box of these little delights really does make a great gift.

They’re DELICIOUS, easier than you’d think and the best way to usher in Christmas.

Close up, over head shot of chilli jam in a glass jar, with a gold spoon picking up some jam.

Sweet Chilli Jam

This sweet chilli jam is one anyone will enjoy. It takes just 30 minutes, is sweet, spicy and so versatile.

Watch it spice up salads, sandwiches, and cheese boards or use it as a dipping sauce. Plus, it keeps for months.

Dark chocolate dipped candied orange slices laid out on a baking paper lined tray.

Chocolate Dipped Candied Orange Slices

Chocolate and orange is an iconic festive flavour combination, for good reason. These candied orange slices are a real celebration of that and make a super easy and impressive festive gift idea.

Just slice oranges, simmer them in sugar syrup, then dry them and dip them in chocolate.

Chilli oil in glass jar with a gold spoon inside, looking from above.

Easy Chilli Oil

This chilli oil recipe is easy, quick (30 minutes), delicious and can be used in so many ways. Drizzle it over salads, pizza, and pasta, and use it as a dipping sauce – the possibilities are endless!

Plus, it’ll last for months when stored in sterilised jars. This one is always a big hit with my family!

Pile of homemade pita chips on a white plate with a small bowl of beetroot hummus on the side.

Baked Za’atar Pita Chips

Homemade baked pita chips are the BEST snack and the perfect vessel for dips.

They’re super easy to make at home, you can flavour them any way you want and make a lovely addition to a dip platter or a festive cheese board.

Fig chutney in a glass jar with a gold spoon inside.

Fig and Tamarind Chutney

This gorgeously dark, sticky and festive fig and tamarind chutney deserves a place front and centre on any cheese or charcuterie board.

It’s laced with sour tamarind, and warming ginger and pairs perfectly with cheese and crackers.

Sourdough crackers on a small white plate with a little bowl of dukkah on the side.

Sourdough Crackers

Cheese and crackers are Christmas staples, and these sourdough crackers pair wonderfully with any cheeseboard.

They’re super easy, delicious and last for ages. I’m adding dukkah to make them even more special, but the beauty of this recipe is how adaptable it is.

Dukkah in a small glass bowl with a jar on the side.

Dukkah Spice Blend

Dukkah is an Egyptian blend of toasted nuts, seeds and spices, all blitzed up into a coarse, sprinkle-able mix. It’s DELICIOUS and one of the most used things in my kitchen, so I love gifting it to family and friends.

It’s really easy to make a big batch and then divide it up into little jars.

Sliced salted caramel brownies, with one brownie with a bite out of it.

Salted Caramel Brownies

A brownie is good, but an intensely fudgy dark chocolate brownie, stuffed with luscious, gooey salted caramel? Perfection.

These decadent brownies make a wonderfully festive gift – the recipe makes a big batch, so it’s easy to divide up and share. You could even cut them up into little brownie bites.
